I'm working on my first calendar for 2009 and hoping to sell them to some local businesses in our small town.

That is a good idea, but the printing cost for calendars here, even to get our own work printed, is high enough that in order to make any profit, the calendars end up rather expensive.

The base price for a calendar on DA is $14.34. That is what you would pay when buying a calendar of your own. Here is a list of the base prices for everything, and the default prices: [link] *pats*

I'm sure I will get them printed cheaper than that locally. I'm hoping to start with 100 so that will be cheaper than a single calendar.

I think these calendars are wonderful

If I had any money I would look into buying a couple. If they aren't doing good for you as far as selling goes, perhaps when I put up my store I could help you feature them?

That is the problem here, most people don't have much money. *wry laugh* I will gratefully take any help I can get. For some reason, I am not selling much of anything. Perhaps my style only attracts poor people... I haven't sold a single print in all of 2007, including these calendars. *sighs*
