This is a digital photograph of a Gulf Frittilary butterfly (Agraulis vanillae).

I like the spots, the way they match on both sides. It's definitely a vibrant butterfly.

Thank you. :) I think this was the only good shot of this kind of butterfly that I got.

Well... what is it they say? That a photographer has to take a million shots and if only one is good then they did a great job at it :)

Well, there was only one of this kind of butterfly, that I could see, and it liked to fly up out of reach, so I only got two shots of it at all total. *L* I am just glad that one of them came out.

Well thats really good. I have to take about 6 shots for even a stationary critter for one to come out :)

Well, it depends a lot on circumstances. *L* With some things, I have taken 20 shots, just to get one good one. Or taken 50, and had not one come out good (lightning is darn hard to catch...).

Thats very true. And I don't think I even want to try capturing lightning, though I wish you all the luck in the world. I'll just continue frustrating myself with fish and lizards and leave all the good professional stuff to you ;)

Meh, I haven't had the energy to try lightning again the few storms that we have had this Summer. I just envy the lightning shots of others. *L* Lizards might be fun though. :)
