Dancing candle flames, playing with wax, bright ribbons, visiting family, celebrating the return of the light. This is what the season means to me.

A snowflake, cut from paper with scissors. I scanned it, and then cleaned up a few rough edges with Photoshop 4, but it still retains it's essential nature as cut-paper art, so I am putting it under traditional arts. This one was meant to depict candles and wax. A Winter Solstice sort of theme. Or any other religion you care to apply it to.

Thank you. :) I irony amused me, of making flames from something so very flammable. I think this may be my favorite of my snowflakes, though I am rather fond of some of the pentagonal ones as well, and the water one. I really need to scan more of them in, but other projects keep cutting in line. :)

Reminds me a lot of a snow flake, what would give it some sort of ironic touch with the motive of a burning candle in a snowflake structure... despite that; a beatuiful geometrical structure.
